Before using PET thermal sensitive silver paper, the following preparations need to be made:
1、 Confirm printer compatibility
Ensure that the printer used supports thermal printing technology and is compatible with PET thermal silver paper.
Different printer models may have different requirements for paper, so it is necessary to confirm the compatibility of the printer first. You can refer to the printer manual or consult the printer manufacturer.
2、 Prepare PET thermosensitive silver paper
Purchase high-quality PET thermal sensitive silver paper to ensure that its specifications (such as size, thickness, etc.) match the printer.
Before loading the paper, check if it is flat, folded, or damaged to ensure print quality and avoid issues such as paper jams.
3、 Clean the printer
Clean the paper compartment and print head of the printer to ensure there is no residual dust or debris.
Gently wipe the inside of the paper compartment and print head with a clean soft cloth or specialized cleaning tool, avoiding the use of overly rough fabrics or chemical solvents to prevent damage to printer components.
4、 Adjust printer settings
Adjust the printer settings based on the characteristics of PET thermal sensitive silver paper and the requirements of the printer.
Set the appropriate printing temperature to avoid excessively high or low temperatures affecting print quality and paper durability.
Adjust the printing speed and density as needed to achieve the best printing effect.
5、 Edit and typeset printed content
Use appropriate software on the computer to edit and typeset printed content.
Ensure that the size and layout of the printed content are suitable for the selected PET thermal sensitive silver paper size to avoid cutting or deforming the printed content.
6、 Correctly load the paper
According to the instructions of the printer, correctly load the PET thermal sensitive silver paper into the printer.
Ensure that the paper is placed flat and the heat sensitive side is facing downwards (i.e. the coated side is facing the print head) to avoid printing blanks or blurry handwriting.
Note that the paper roll should not be placed too tightly or too loosely to avoid affecting the feeding speed or causing paper jams.
7、 Storage environment preparation
Unused PET thermosensitive silver paper should be stored in a dry and dark environment to prevent moisture and direct sunlight from causing a decrease in paper quality.
The storage temperature is generally between 530 ℃ and the relative humidity is between 40% and 70%.
Following the above preparation work can better utilize PET thermal sensitive silver paper for printing, achieving clear and long-lasting printing effects. Meanwhile, it is important to regularly maintain and clean the printer to ensure print quality and extend its lifespan.
